Many students think they can't attend school because they don't have the money.
Well, you might be surprised to learn that the majority of students receive financial aid of some kind to attend school. And our Student Financial Planners have the expertise to help each of our students find loans, grants, and scholarships to attend WyoTech.
Here is a list of just some of the ways our students finance their education:
Federal Stafford Loans
Many students pay for their education through Federal Stafford Loans. These loans are subsidized by the government throughout the time a student remains in school. And the loan is continued to be subsidized until 6 months after graduation. These are by far the most popular types of student loans.
Federal PLUS Loans
THE PLUS loan is provided to parents - and just requires that parents are in good credit standing. These loans can help cover up the remaining cost of a student's education.
Student Scholarships
Student scholarships are often based on a student's interests, gender, age, background, experiences, and/or personal essay. There are also scholarships that are based on athletic ability and academic performance.
Grants
Grants from the government are another great resource for financial aid because grants never need to be paid back. It's essentially free money from the government to attend school. Find out if you qualify for any grants. Our team will help you apply.
Fedreal Perkins Loans
The Perkins loan is often offered to students who have an exceptional student need. These low-interest loans from the federal government can help you cover the cost of your education.
Private Loans
Students may also pay for their education through a loan from a private bank or other lender. These loans often depend on a credit score, or cosigner.
Financial aid is available for those who qualify.
